Cozy Word Search — Privacy Policy

Overview

Cozy Word Search (“the app”) is developed and published by Van Stein & Groentjes B.V. (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in the Netherlands (KvK 61814431).

We don’t run a server or backend for this app, and there’s no account, sign-up, or login of our own. The game works entirely on your device, with two optional Google-provided features described below.

Data we collect, and why

• Advertising identifier— collected directly by Google AdMob, the ad network used to show ads to non-premium players (via the Android AD_ID permission). We never see or store this ourselves; it’s processed by Google under its own ad-related privacy disclosures (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). Buying the one-time Premium unlock removes ads entirely.
• Gameplay progress (only if you sign in) — if you choose to sign in with Play Games, your level progress and hint balance are stored via Google Play Games Services “Saved Games,” tied to your Google Account, so progress can carry over to another device. This is entirely optional — the game is fully playable without signing in — and this data lives in your Google Account, not on any server we operate.
• Purchases — hint packs and the Premium unlock are bought through Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Payment details are handled entirely by Google/Apple; we only ever receive confirmation that a purchase completed.
• On-device settings — your theme, layout, haptics preference, and progress are also cached locally on your device. This never leaves your device except via the optional Play Games sign-in above.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any other contact or profile information. There are no accounts, forms, or newsletters in this app.

Third parties

The only outside services this app uses are Google and Apple platform services, needed to run ads, purchases, and (if you opt in) cloud save:

• Apple App Store — apple.com/legal/privacy

We don’t sell personal data, and don’t share data with anyone beyond what these services need to function.

Managing ads and your data

You can limit ad personalization from your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking) or at adssettings.google.com, or remove ads entirely via the Premium unlock in the app.

To access, correct, or delete data held by Google (advertising data or Play Games saved data), use your Google Account privacy controls at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy — we can’t act on that data ourselves since we never receive or store it.

Children

Cozy Word Search is intended for a general audience aged 13 and up, and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

International transfers

Because Google’s services operate globally, the data described above may be processed outside the EEA/UK under Google’s own compliance framework and standard contractual clauses. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Updates will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
